Fans were in for a shock after it was reported that WWE quietly released Duke Hudson from his contract recently. He was an integral part of Chase U and now Thea Hail has reacted to Hudon’s shocking release with a heartfelt message for her former colleague.
Thea Hail took to her Instagram and shared an emotional message about Duke Hudson’s WWE release, calling him the best work colleague she could ever ask for. She expressed how much he had done for her, even though he often downplayed his impact.
Hail recalled first arriving in NXT, feeling confident yet confused. She admitted that Hudson initially gave her a hard time but soon became one of her biggest supporters, always reminding her of her talent and offering valuable advice. Over the years, he listened to her rants, celebrated her happy moments, and supported her through tough times.
Hail thanked Hudson for making her laugh, cry, and believe in herself when no one else did. She also called him one of the most underrated wrestlers and performers, emphasizing how much he helped shape her as both a wrestler and a person. She encouraged him to go out and prove to everyone how amazing he is, sending her love and support as he moves forward in his career.
“to the best ✨work colleague✨a girl could ever ask for. it’s hard for me to be even put into words how much you’ve done for me. and you will sit and say “no i’ve done nothing” and no your wrong sush. about 3 years ago i walked into nxt confident and very confused. you first, shit on me. then made sure i knew how talented i was and gave me any advice you could. since then you’ve listened to every rant and been there for every happy moment as well as sad. thank you for making me laugh and cry (a lot especially when making this post you b****). thank you for believing in me when no one else did and giving me the knowledge i needed as not just a wrestler but as a person. thank you for everything. truly the most underrated wrestler and performer. i would not be who i am without you. now go kick ass and show everyone how amazing you are. love U ❤️🖤”
Throughout his time in NXT, Hudson went through multiple character changes, starting as Brendan Vink before evolving into Duke Hudson, a cocky poker player. His most notable run came as a key member of Chase U, where he worked alongside Andre Chase and Thea Hail, helping make the faction one of NXT’s most entertaining acts.
Despite his regular presence on TV, WWE ultimately decided to release him as Triple H simply didn’t feel he would be ready for the main roster and his age was a factor as well. Regardless, we’ll have to wait and see what the future holds for Duke Hudson since he has already addressed his release in an incredibly imaginative way, giving fans hope for his pro wrestling journey.
