Tessa Blanchard isn’t ruling out the possibility of stepping into the ring with WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley, and with WWE’s newly announced partnership with TNA Wrestling, the idea might not be as far-fetched as it sounds.

During a recent appearance on the DeLoco Podcast, Blanchard shared her thoughts on facing Ripley, whom she’s crossed paths with before in WWE’s first-ever Mae Young Classic.

“She’s phenomenal. I’ve watched some of her matches, and we actually did the first-ever Mae Young Classic for WWE together. But she was a different Rhea Ripley then. She was blonde hair, still tall, still built, still phenomenal in the ring. But she has just transformed into this absolute powerhouse over there. So yeah, I would be down for that.”

Ripley’s evolution into one of WWE’s most dominant forces hasn’t gone unnoticed by Blanchard, who is fresh off her TNA comeback and a major win over Jordynne Grace. With TNA and WWE officially working together, fans can’t help but speculate about crossover matches, and Blanchard vs. Ripley could easily headline that wishlist.

While there’s no word on whether this match could actually happen, the WWE-TNA partnership opens up plenty of opportunities for cross-promotional moments. For now, Blanchard is focused on her run in TNA, but if Ripley’s name stays on her radar, don’t be surprised if these two powerhouses collide someday.
