Tessa Blanchard is calling out a situation that she says went way past normal fan behavior — and the numbers alone show why she felt the need to say something publicly.

Blanchard took to Twitter and revealed that she had been hit with nonstop calls, FaceTimes, and text messages from people she says she does not know personally. Her message made it clear that this wasn’t about harmless outreach — it was about repeated contact that crossed a personal boundary. Before getting into how extreme it became, Blanchard started by directly telling people to stop reaching out if she never gave them her number in the first place.

“Please Please Please stop calling, FaceTiming and texting continuously if I did not give you my number or you don’t know me personally.”

She then turned her attention to the way private contact information gets passed around, making it clear that whoever shared her number should have known better: “& etiquette is to alway ask the person before you share their phone number!!” From there, Blanchard explained exactly how overwhelming the situation got, revealing that the volume of contact she received in just one hour is what pushed her to address it out in the open.

“I hate to even have to say this! Receiving 27 calls, 13 FaceTimes and 12 text messages within an hour goes beyond fandom!! It’s super inappropriate.”

This puts the focus squarely on harassment, not fandom. Blanchard’s message wasn’t vague, and it wasn’t subtle — she made it clear that repeated attempts to contact her privately, especially without permission, are not acceptable.

Her post also comes not long after WWE ring announcer Alicia Taylor publicly addressed invasive fan behavior of her own, saying some people were treating a simple response online like it meant a real personal relationship.

In Blanchard’s case, though, the issue appears to have moved even further, with direct phone contact becoming part of the problem. Blanchard’s tweet sends a very blunt message: support is one thing, but constant calls, FaceTimes, and texts from strangers is another story entirely.
