Tessa Blanchard Accused of Turning AAA Run Into a “Goldberg Situation”

Konnan has shut down accusations made by Tessa Blanchard during her time working in AAA, as he made it clear that Blanchard was hard to work with.

While speaking on the Keepin’ It 100 podcast, Konnan responded to Tessa Blanchard’s claims that he told her she wasn’t “his people. ” She said he would make comments like that to her often, among other things.

Konnan stated that Blanchard often acted like a victim but didn’t show real commitment to Triple A. He said that when she first joined the company, she told him the only reason she was there was because of her then-husband Miguel, and that she didn’t care about Triple A. Hearing that made him feel she didn’t have the right attitude or dedication.

“I’ll tell you something she did, since she likes to play the victim. When she first came in, she made it very clear that the only reason she was there was because of Miguel, her husband at the time. Her exact words to me were, ‘I don’t give a f*** about Triple A. I’m only here because of Miguel.’ What am I supposed to think after hearing that? In my mind, she didn’t have the right attitude. She wasn’t committed. So to me, she wasn’t one of my people. I had people who showed up every day, ready to work. You know what I’m saying?”

Konnan explained that to him, Tessa Blanchard wasn’t one of his people, especially compared to the wrestlers who showed up regularly and gave their all. Konnan also mentioned a Madison Square Garden show and brought up how Tessa and Taya Valkyrie were supposed to be close friends.

However, Konnan said Tessa told him she should win the title because she was better than Taya. Konnan compared that mindset to something like the Goldberg situation in wrestling. In his view, Tessa was very difficult to work with.

“When we went to Madison Square Garden — I think she beat someone there, I don’t remember exactly, maybe you can look it up — one of them had the world title. And the thing is, she and Taya Valkyrie were supposed to be really good friends, right? But she told me, ‘I should win that title because I’m better than Taya.’ You want to talk about a Goldberg situation? That was it right there. Believe me when I say this — she was very difficult to work with.”

Tessa Blanchard is currently working in TNA Wrestling and so far she has been viewed as a valuable asset in the company. Regardless, Konnan just made to make sure he shut down Blanchard’s accusations and fans understand where he’s coming from.
