Ted DiBiase Suffers Injuries After Scary Fall at Atlanta Airport

WWE Hall of Famer Ted DiBiase isn’t having the best of luck recently, as he has revealed he suffered injuries after taking a very bad fall at an airport.

While speaking on his Everybody’s Got a Pod podcast, Ted DiBiase revealed that he recently took a hard fall while passing through Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. He explained that the accident left him with a black eye and badly bruised ribs, though he was fortunate not to suffer any broken bones.

DiBiase said the fall happened quickly as he was rushing to his gate. Some children were playing nearby, and when one of them fell in front of him, he tripped and had no choice but to take a face-first bump to the ground. A gate attendant helped him with a rag for his bleeding face.

“There were some kids there, and they were playing around, and they were just kids being kids. One of them, like, fell right in front of me, and I had no choice. I was hustling… I did a face bump. I mean, I went down. I went down hard, buddy. I had a, I don’t know if you can see it, a black eye. The rest of it is, it was, it’s my right side.”

DiBiase noted that while his ribs were not broken, the pain has been severe. Having suffered a broken rib in the past, he explained that this injury felt similar but was ultimately a deep bruise.

Despite the painful outcome, he joked about the irony of “The Million Dollar Man” taking a big bump in the middle of the Atlanta airport.

“I have had a broken rib before. And if you have a broken rib, you can’t breathe. And even now, even though there’s nothing broken, I’ve got a really good bruise, but it’s so sore. You talk about the embarrassment, right?” he joked. The Million Dollar Man, you know, takes a big bump in the Atlanta airport.”

Though the accident left him sore and shaken, Ted DiBiase is thankful it wasn’t more serious. The WWE Hall of Famer avoided major injuries, and fans will be glad to know he’ll make a full recovery in the end.
