Block 3:

A listener calls into the show and asks Taz if the wrestlers ever cared about where they placed on the PWI 500 list each year. Taz says that wrestlers certainly cared a little bit, but none of them would ever admit it to their peers in the locker room.

Taz was ranked number 10 in 1999, and was surrounded by a who’s who of wrestling greats in the top 10. Looking back now, he says he’s honoured to have been placed that high on the list. However, he says that all lists are subjective and they’re based solely on certain people’s opinions.

Getting back into his discussion of Smackdown Live, Taz says that he hopes WWE is setting up a 3-way for the United States Title between Tye Dillinger, Baron Corbin and A.J. Styles. However, he doesn’t think that’s going to happen, and Dillinger was simply used as a way to get Corbin over. Dillinger shouldn’t be used an enhancement guy in Taz’s opinion, and the same can be said for Mike Kanellis.

Taz also doesn’t understand why Nakamura’s entrance took place during the commercial break. He points out that Nakamura’s entrance is a huge part of his presentation right now and if they’re trying to get him over, they shouldn’t be cutting that out. Taz assumes that Vince McMahon looks at Randy Orton as the bigger star so if there was only enough time for one of those guys to get a full entrance, it was going to be Orton.
