The Taz Show Recap – Responding to Criticism, Issues Between Neville & WWE, Will Taz Return to the Ring? More!

Block 4:

Taz isn’t sure if he agrees with Neville’s decision to try to make a bigger name for himself by leaving WWE. Whereas McIntyre was an afterthought on WWE programming before he left, Neville has been at the forefront of WWE programming while holding the Cruiserweight Title. Taz thinks the best spot for Neville to continue to build his brand is in WWE.

On the other hand, if Neville does venture out into the independent scene fresh off of WWE television he will be able to demand whatever price he wants. He’s been a player on WWE programming for several years now and indie promotions will salivate at the opportunity of building their shows around an appearance from Neville.

Johnson also points out that what’s important here is the details of Neville’s release. WWE often protects themselves in these situations and puts a clause in the contract preventing the talents to work on other promotion’s television for a period of time.

From a business perspective Taz understands this because WWE puts a lot of money and time into building performers and giving them air time in front of a huge audience. It would be unfair for another promotion to capitalize on this by snatching up talents as soon as they are granted their release from WWE.

That sums up today’s episode of The Taz Show. You can listen to the show yourself anytime here, and I’ll catch ya tomorrow for another recap!
