The Taz Show Recap – Remembering 9/11, McMahon’s Kind Gesture, Triple H’s Creative vs. Vince McMahon’s Creative, More!

Block 2:

A listener calls into the show and asks Taz if he thinks the RAW and Smackdown Live creative would be better if Triple H was running the main roster brands instead of Vince McMahon. The caller thinks NXT’s storylines are more drawn out and better developed, whereas WWE’s storylines sometimes feel rushed and are executed poorly.

Taz thinks it’s only a matter of time before Triple H is given the opportunity to be Head of Creative for WWE’s main roster brands. When Triple H finally does get that chance, Taz does believe the creative will improve. Triple H is a younger mind who thinks more progressively than McMahon in Taz’s opinion, but there’s no denying there will be a learning curve in terms of booking five hours of programming each week instead of one in NXT.

He says that Triple H has a significant advantage over Vince McMahon right now in that Triple H only has to book one hour of programming each week, where as McMahon has five hours of programming to worry about. It’s significantly easier to book one hour of television compared to five, and McMahon has grown accustomed to this heavy workload over the last three decades.

The heavy workload that goes into writing five hours of television is one thing, but then making that programming captivating and entertaining is another thing entirely. Taz says it’s easier to execute intriguing storylines when you only have one hour per week to advance the storylines. Sometimes less is more, and that’s why some storylines on the main roster have dragged over the last few years.
