Block 2:

Taz gets into his analysis of last night’s episode of NXT.

He comments on the promo segment between Roode, McIntyre and Strong. Taz liked Roode teasing a match between himself and Strong, only to take it away and mention that Strong would have to go through McIntyre first. However, Taz thought that if Strong is so angry with Roode for dissing his family, he should have just rushed the ring and tried to get his hands on Roode.

Roode even had security guards standing around the ring so they could have prevented Strong from getting to Roode. Taz believes that if Strong is as passionate about getting to Roode as he claims to be, he really needed to storm the ring. In addition, he feels the entire setup moving forward is disjointed because even if Strong gets through McIntyre next week, he has to wait until after Brooklyn in order to get his shot.

A listener calls into the show and says he wasn’t really a fan of Taz’s in-ring work back in the day, but he was a big fan of Taz’s work on the mic and at the commentary booth. Taz asks the caller who his favourite performers were at that time, and the caller says Bret Hart and The Undertaker. Taz points out that this caller was obviously a big fan of the WWE style and he simply didn’t work that style during his prime in ECW, so it makes sense that Taz’s work wouldn’t appeal to this caller.
