The Taz Show Recap – No Mercy Analysis, Abusing False Finishes, Why Did Cena & Reigns Shake Hands? More!

Block 4:

A listener calls into the show and says he felt that the finish of the Cena/Reigns came out of nowhere, and it wasn’t really believable that Reigns could kick out of four AA’s. Taz agrees that the finish came out of nowhere, but that’s because most people felt one spear wouldn’t defeat Cena after Reigns kicked out of four AA’s. Finishers still mean something, but things have certainly changed since the days when Hulk Hogan finished every match with one leg drop.

Taz believes that Cena wouldn’t have allowed his opponent to kick out of four AA’s 10 years ago, but at this point in his career Cena is determined to put on the most exciting match he can for the fans while getting his opponents over as well.

Taz points out that Cesaro knocked out two of his teeth by going face first into the ring post last night. This was obviously an accident and Cesaro will probably be the first person to tell you that this was his fault. He went into the corner too quickly and wasn’t able to appropriately protect his face. Taz gives credit to Cesaro for not only continuing that match, but for putting on a terrific performance during the rest of the match.

Taz liked Finn Balor’s new ring gear last night. It was different and original, and that’s the sign of a good professional. Taz liked the match between Balor and Bray Wyatt, but he wishes that Corey Graves would stop bringing so much attention to the fact that Balor is not a big guy.

That sums up today’s episode of The Taz Show. You can listen to the show yourself anytime here, and I’ll catch ya tomorrow for another recap!
