The Taz Show Recap – Lucha Underground Talk, NXT Analysis, WWE Sending Young Bucks A Message, More!

Block 2:

A listener calls into the show and says he was in awe while watching the match between Killshot and Dante Fox last night. He thought there were spots in this match that even Mick Foley or Sabu would have refused to do. Taz laughs and says the caller might be right. There were several incredible looking spots during this match that we would never see in WWE.

Taz points out that WWE stifles talents sometimes out of fear of injury, but for the most part he agrees with them. When he was brought into the company they basically took away his suplexes because they thought it looked too dangerous. Taz says that it was his job to make moves look dangerous without hurting his opponents. If he started hurting his opponents he would have understood their concerns, but he never did.

Taz speaks about WWE sending a cease and desist letter to the Young Bucks over their usage of the ‘Too Sweet’ hand gesture. He thinks it was fairly petty of WWE to send these two guys this letter, since they’ve been utilizing that gesture for a long time with the blessing of legends such as Scott Hall and X-Pac. The Young Bucks are grinding every day and working their asses off so he didn’t think this letter was necessary.

He wishes that WWE would have actually signed The Young Bucks to a contract, even if it was just a short term deal, because these guys could really drive up interest in WWE’s product right now. In an era when exciting and surprising angles are few and far between, this is a chance for WWE to do something very cool.
