He thought the Kevin Owens/Shane McMahon in-ring promo was very well done. He says this promo felt real, and it escalated very well to a point where Shane could take no more and lashed out against Owens. Owens’ threat to sue the company was fantastic in Taz’s mind, and he thinks this is going to make Owens the legitimate number one heel in the company.
Speaking about Corey Graves replacing JBL at the Smackdown Live commentary booth, Taz wonders if WWE is even developing any new colour commentators right now. He doesn’t think there’s any need for one man to work both shows when there was an opportunity to move a new face into that role.
He admits that Graves is very good and fans love his commentary work, but hopefully they don’t get sick of him when they have to listen to him five hours a week.
A listener calls into the show and points out that there are several moves being utilized by more than one Superstar right now, and that bothers him. Taz agrees with the caller and says he’s not a fan of multiple Superstars utilizing the same move. He’s also not a fan of Superstars looking the same or wearing similar colours. He believes Superstars need to value being unique.
