Taz admits that Amore’s comeback was stiff, but he didn’t have a problem with it at all. Taz actually had an issue with what Graves said because although Graves spends three hours each week ripping Amore live on WWE programming, once the cameras are off there’s no need to continue the barrage of insults.

As a former wrestler, Taz would have an issue with an announcer doing that to him. The in-ring performers are the guys/girls who are out on the road five days a week drawing money while the announcers sit home, so at some point the announcers need to keep their insults to themselves. After all, the announcers’ end goal is to get talents over, not bury them on social media.

Taz adds that perhaps these guys are close friends and this entire Twitter war was a friendly rib, but it certainly doesn’t appear that way.

He also points out that Graves has a habit of taking some serious jabs at in-ring talents on WWE programming, and since he can’t get in the ring himself that makes it tough for the competitors to get their receipts. Taz admits that plenty of heel commentators (including himself) have taken shots at in-ring competitors in the past, but it has to be carefully done as to not completely bury the talent.
