Tay Melo may have wrestled her last match in January, but fans are making it clear—they want her back in AEW. And now, the former Mixed Tag Team standout is finally responding.
On April 13, Tay Melo broke her silence on social media after a flood of fan posts called for her in-ring return. One fan tweeted, “Can’t wait to see @taymelo back in the ring 🔥❤️🔥”—and Melo didn’t just like it. She replied with “🥹😭”—a teary-eyed and crying emoji combo that hit fans right in the feelings.
She didn’t stop there. Tay also retweeted several messages from her loyal supporters, including one that read, “I miss @taymelo and hopefully we see her again on TV soon.” Another post she boosted declared, “I hope to see you back on TV @taymelo. I miss seeing you wrestle and you have always been my favorite ever tay. Miss seeing the queen wrestle 🥺🔥❤️.”
Back in January, Tay stepped back into the ring at STARDOM’s New Year Dream show in Tokyo. She teamed up with Mina Shirakawa in a hard-hitting match against Athena and Thekla. Despite taking the loss after being hit with an O-Face by Athena, Melo impressed fans with top-rope dives and a brutal piledriver—proving that her nearly two-year hiatus hadn’t dulled her skills.
Her last match before that was way back on March 11, 2023, when she and husband Sammy Guevara scored a win at NEW Wrestlefest XXVII. Since then, she’s stayed mostly off-screen—until now.
Whether or not Tay Melo returns to AEW or keeps exploring options like STARDOM, one thing’s certain: her fanbase is ready—and vocal.
