Tay Melo made her shocking return during AEW Fyter Fest last week, as she came to Anna Jay’s rescue against Megan Bayne and Penelope Ford. While fans were happy to see her, it appears Melo has admitted she wasn’t all that excited about her return.

While speaking on Sammy Guevara’s vlog, Tay Melo talked about how she felt during her AEW return. She said she was tired, lost a nail, and didn’t really know how to feel. While she was happy to wrestle again, she missed her daughter Luna a lot and just wanted to go home. She said it felt like she wanted to be in two places at once.

“I lost a nail. I feel tired. I feel—I don’t know. I don’t know how to feel. I miss people so much, it’s such a different vibe. It’s like, I do want to do the matches and segments, but at the same time I miss Luna so much. I just wanna go home. It’s almost like I wish I could be in both places at once.”

Sammy Guevara revealed that people were telling Tay Melo she looked beautiful and asking if she was excited, but she told them she just wanted to go home because she missed Luna.

“It’s funny because everyone kept telling me how beautiful I looked and asking if I was excited, and I told you I just said, ‘No, I just wanna go home. I miss my baby.'”

Tay Melo added that everyone kept asking if she was excited, but all she really wanted was to see her daughter, breastfeed, and get some sleep. She said she loves her job, but nothing makes her happier than being at home with her daughter and husband Sammy Guevara, lying in bed, talking, and laughing.

“Yeah, everybody’s like, ‘Are you excited?’ and I’m like, ‘No. I just wanna see Luna. I wanna breastfeed and sleep.’ I love my job, don’t get me wrong, but man, there’s nothing better than my daughter and husband—laying in bed, talking, and laughing together.”

Tay Melo is set to team up with Anna Jay to square off against Megan Bayne and Penelope Ford in a tag team match on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite: Summer Blockbuster, so we’ll have to see how Melo fares in the match.
