Jericho welcomes Taya Valkyrie to the show.
Jericho asks Valkyrie how she made the transition from Canada to Mexico. Valkyrie says she was offered a WWE contract seven months before she left for Mexico. After attending WWE tryouts and putting in a lot of hard work her dream was finally coming true, and then WWE pulled out of the contract completely out of nowhere.
She was devastated and didn’t know what to do next because she had already put a lot of things in motion such as selling her car and quitting her jobs in Calgary. The Hart family put her in contact with Konnan, and he set her up with work in Mexico.
She ended up living in a house with four other guys including Konnan, and they didn’t think she would last a week. She proved them all wrong, and Konnan is still a huge supportive force in her career. The recently deceased Perro Aguayo Jr. was another big supporter of hers. He took her under his wing to guarantee she had work and to ensure that she wouldn’t consider returning to Canada.
