Before adopting the name Tala Tonga, Taula Fifita wrestled under the ring name Hikuleo, building his reputation in New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) and Impact Wrestling as a member of Guerrillas of Destiny and the Bullet Club. Standing at 6’8″, his intimidating presence and athletic ability quickly made him a dominant figure in the ring. In 2025, he transitioned to WWE’s main roster, aligning with Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, and other members of The Bloodline to further solidify the family’s grip on WWE.
Tala Tonga is the son of legendary wrestler Haku (also known as Meng), and part of the extended Anoa’i-Fifita wrestling dynasty, which includes stars like Roman Reigns, The Usos, Solo Sikoa, and Jacob Fatu. Raised in Florida, Tonga grew up surrounded by wrestling, but also developed a background in basketball, which contributed to his size and athleticism.
His brothers Tama Tonga and Tanga Loa also found success in NJPW as part of Guerrillas of Destiny, and Tala’s arrival in WWE marks another chapter in the family’s dominance of the industry. Despite his intimidating persona, Tala is known to be family-oriented and close with his siblings and father, often crediting them for keeping him grounded as his career progresses.
Tonga is fiercely proud of his Tongan heritage, representing his culture both in and out of the ring. He has expressed a desire to use his platform to honor his family’s legacy while forging his own identity, which begins with his high-profile role in WWE’s Bloodline faction. While his personal life outside of wrestling remains mostly private, his loyalty to his family and culture is a defining part of who he is.
