The full extent of Syko Stu’s injuries has come to light after his brutal assault at the hands of Raja Jackson—and the details are chilling.
Doug Malo, one of the independent wrestlers who stepped in to stop the shocking beatdown, spoke with USA Today and revealed that Syko Stu—real name Stuart Smith—suffered “broken bones in his face and lost a lot of teeth.” According to Malo, Smith was “awake and talking” as of August 24 and may be released from the hospital soon, but the aftermath of the attack is severe.
“He was choking on his own blood and teeth,” Malo recalled, describing the horrifying scene. “Somebody reminded me there’s kids there and then I was like ‘oh my God.’”
The vicious attack took place during a KnokX Pro Wrestling Academy event in California, where Raja Jackson—son of MMA star Rampage Jackson—stormed the ring and launched into a real-life assault on Smith. Footage captured Jackson repeatedly striking Stu even after he appeared unconscious, triggering widespread outrage and a full LAPD investigation.
Additional footage revealed that AJ Mana, a backstage figure at KnokX Pro, was caught instructing Raja to “give him his f**king receipt” following a botched beer can spot earlier in the night—fueling even more backlash toward the promotion’s leadership.
Rampage Jackson later addressed the situation, admitting his son had “no business involved in an event like this.” KnokX Pro issued a public apology, calling the attack “a selfish, irresponsible act of violence.”
As Smith recovers from the horrifying injuries—including facial fractures and massive dental trauma—the pro wrestling world continues to watch how WWE will respond, given KnokX Pro’s status as a WWE-affiliated training school. WWE has not released an official statement yet, but internal discussions are reportedly ongoing.
With the victim’s condition now fully revealed, the incident has shifted from controversy to crisis—and the fallout is far from over.
