Swerve Strickland Shows Off Massive Back Tattoo During AEW Hiatus

Swerve Strickland is making good use of his time away from AEW after surgery, since he just got some fresh ink on his back and fans are really impressed by it.

The former AEW World Champion took to his Instagram and uploaded a photo of his back, showing off an incredibly elaborate and detailed back tattoo. The tattoo featured a king sitting on his throne while he was surrounded by his knights.

From the looks of it, the king was Swerve Strickland himself as well. The incredible back tattoo was done by inkbyjub and it’s clear that a lot of effort was made to make it as detailed as possible.

Swerve Strickland underwent surgery this summer to repair a meniscus injury after he was written off AEW television at Forbidden Door. In addition to this, we have reported that Swerve Strickland could be ready for a “winter return” to AEW if rehab stays on track.

Swerve Strickland’s new tattoo isn’t just for looks: it’s a message. Even while he’s recovering, he’s still growing and staying creative, keeping the same energy that made him the AEW World Champion.
