A violent attack unfolded during the March 4, 2026 episode of AEW Dynamite when Swerve Strickland blindsided Brody King with a steel chain.
The segment began when King made his way to the ring and called out Strickland. Prince Nana appeared first and questioned whether King truly wanted to confront him before introducing Strickland.
Instead of walking to the ring normally, Strickland appeared from behind and attacked King with a steel chain. He wrapped the chain around King’s neck and began choking him before tightening the hold and dragging him around the ring. Strickland then tied the chain to the top rope and stepped outside the ring, pulling back and choking King against the ropes while continuing the assault.
After delivering the attack, Strickland warned that the entire AEW roster should take notice and made it clear he plans to see King again at AEW Revolution.
The segment came to an end when Bandido appeared, prompting Strickland to leave the ring after delivering his message. The brutal chain assault added another heated moment to Dynamite as AEW continues building toward Revolution on March 15.
Do you think Swerve Strickland went too far with the steel chain attack on Brody King, or was it the kind of statement he needed to make ahead of Revolution? Let us know what you think and share your feedback in the comments.
