Stone Cold Steve Austin’s name always comes up around WrestleMania season, but don’t expect to see him lacing up his boots this year. Despite fans hoping for a surprise appearance at WrestleMania 41, it looks like a match is completely off the table.

During the Fightful Select Q&A podcast, Sean Ross Sapp was asked if Austin would be involved in this year’s WrestleMania, and his response left little room for hope.

“If you mean like wrestling, no, that would be a miracle. He had a total knee replacement in December. Coming out and throwing some beers or something? Maybe. But I haven’t heard of anything yet.”

Austin, who underwent a full knee replacement just weeks ago, has been open about his recovery process, admitting he pushed himself too hard too soon after surgery.

“My left knee was on its last leg. I have been putting this surgery off for years.”

Despite the pain, he’s already back in the gym, slowly building up strength while avoiding heavy lifting and squats for now. But if anyone thought this meant he’d be gearing up for an in-ring return, that door just got shut—for now.

Whether Austin makes a surprise appearance or not, one thing is clear—WrestleMania 41 won’t be seeing The Texas Rattlesnake stomp a mudhole and walk it dry. But if there’s one thing fans can count on, it’s that Stone Cold doesn’t need a match to steal the show. A few beers, a couple of middle fingers, and maybe even a Stunner for good measure? Now that’s a WrestleMania moment.
