AEW’s Winter Is Coming special was already stacked with top-tier matches—but it was the unadvertised action before the cameras rolled that had fans talking early.

Steven Borden, the son of pro wrestling legend Sting, quietly stepped into the AEW ring for a dark match before the December 10 episode of Dynamite kicked off live from The Gateway Center Arena in College Park, Georgia.

According to Cassidy Haynes of Bodyslam.net, Borden went one-on-one with Kiran Grey in the second dark match of the night—and not only did he secure the win, but he did it with some serious style.

“Ayyy Steve Borden working the second dark match. And he got Immigrant Song by Led Zeppelin as his entrance music.”

Yes, Led Zeppelin’s “Immigrant Song”—a track made iconic by Viking battles in Thor: Ragnarok—was Steven Borden’s entrance theme for the night, adding a cinematic flair to his debut in front of a live AEW crowd.

While the match wasn’t televised and AEW has yet to officially comment on Borden’s long-term status, this appearance marks a significant moment.

The match outcome, performance, and presentation were enough to set off online speculation: Is AEW prepping Sting’s son for something bigger down the line? Either way, Steven Borden is now officially in the AEW conversation—and he’s starting with a win.
