Ever since Sting retired last year at AEW Revolution, he’s introduced his “Old Man Sting” look during fan events. Despite the current look, Sting has made it clear he doesn’t plan on wrestling ever again.

While speaking on the Major Wrestling Figure podcast, Mark Sterling asked Sting about his current look and whether the beard was part of a bigger plan. Sting explained that he actually wanted to retire as “Old Man Sting,” saying, “I actually wanted to retire as Old Man Sting.”

Matt Cardona chimed in, saying he liked the idea and thought there was potential in it, especially for character work and possibly wrestling again, stating, “I like that. Actually, there’s some meat on the bone there.”

Sting made it clear he was done with wrestling, saying he’s had enough fans asking for one more match. At 66 years old, it’s time to call it a day.

“No. I’ve got enough fans going, ‘One more. Just one more. One more match.’ Yeah, right. One more match. I’m 66 now. Enough is enough.”

Sting already signed a multi-year deal with AEW last year, so he will remain part of the company for a long time but that doesn’t mean he will wrestle again. Therefore, fans will just have to accept that Sting is happily retired and that’s never changing.
