Sting retired from wrestling after teaming with Darby Allin to defeat The Young Bucks at AEW Revolution last year. Since then, he has stayed busy with meet-and-greet events and occasional AEW appearances. Recently, he was seen without his signature face paint, looking noticeably older.
Pro wrestling legend Keiju Mutoh took to Twitter and uploaded a photo of himself alongside Sting and Lex Luger. Mutoh reflected on his past rivalry with Sting and Lex Luger, remembering their younger days of competition and how they are now able to enjoy looking back on those times over tea, as he said, “In the days of our youth, we competed with rivals, Sting and Lex Luger, over teatime The conversation about old times blossoms.”
The most interesting thing about the photo was the fact that Sting was seen without his iconic face paint and his beard was noticeably white as he hadn’t dyed it, making it clear he is fully embracing his current look.
It is to be noted that Sting is set to make an appearance at the For the Love of Wrestling Event in Manchester, UK, so it is likely they all met up in the United Kingdom for this photo in the first place.
The pro wrestling legend already made it clear 2025 would be the last time fans ever see him in full gear as well. Nonetheless, Sting is clearly enjoying life the way he wants to and fans wouldn’t want anything more for the veteran.
