The Icon Sting
Sting, born Steve Borden on March 20, 1959, in Omaha, Nebraska, is one of the most iconic and influential professional wrestlers of all time. Known as "The Icon," Sting’s career has spanned nearly four decades across WCW, TNA (Impact Wrestling), WWE, and AEW, making him one of the rare performers to remain relevant in every major wrestling era.

Sting Personal Life

Sting began his wrestling career in 1985 and rose to national prominence in WCW during the late 1980s and 1990s. With his bleach-blond hair, colorful face paint, and intense energy, he became WCW’s franchise player. He famously reinvented himself in 1996 as the silent, mysterious figure inspired by The Crow, cementing his place as a cultural icon during the Monday Night Wars.

After WCW folded, Sting continued his career in TNA Wrestling, where he helped legitimize the promotion with multiple world title reigns and marquee feuds. He finally joined WWE in 2014 for a brief but celebrated run, which included a Hall of Fame induction in 2016.

In 2020, Sting made a shocking debut in AEW, where he had a late-career resurgence, mentoring Darby Allin and competing in cinematic and live matches. On March 3, 2024, Sting officially retired after a final match at AEW Revolution, ending his career on a high note alongside his tag partner Darby Allin in a victory over The Young Bucks.
