TNA just made history—and Steve Maclin is now part of it forever.

At TNA Unbreakable 2025, Maclin cemented his legacy by becoming the first-ever TNA International Champion, defeating AJ Francis and Eric Young in a hard-fought triple threat match. The match-ending moment came when Maclin drilled Francis with the KIA to seal the deal and take home the newly minted gold.

The road to the final wasn’t easy. AJ Francis earned his spot after surviving a triple threat against Sami Callihan and Mance Warner. Eric Young qualified with a win over JDC and Zachary Wentz, while Steve Maclin secured his spot by knocking off Ace Austin and Eddie Edwards.

The TNA International Championship was introduced by Santino Marella, replacing the retired TNA Digital Media Title, which had last been held by Steph De Lander and Mance Warner in a wild co-champ run.
