Stone Cold Steve Austin isn’t slowing down—not even after a total knee replacement. The WWE legend revealed he underwent surgery on his left knee seven weeks ago and is already back in the gym, proving once again why he’s one of the toughest to ever step foot in the ring.
Posting photos of his recovery, Austin shared an update on how his knee is healing, admitting he put off the surgery for years. “My left knee was on its last leg,” he wrote. “I have been putting this surgery off for years.”
The WWE Hall of Famer made it clear that while things are improving, recovery hasn’t been easy. “Before starting PT, I came out of the gate aggressive and started walking way too soon and too far and really pissed off my new knee,” Austin admitted. “Total Knee Replacement is a year-long healing process, so I don’t know what the hell I was thinking.”
Despite lingering swelling, Austin is already training again—though he’s avoiding heavy lifting and squats for now. But in true Stone Cold fashion, he’s not just focusing on recovery—he’s setting new goals. He announced plans to compete in The Mint 400 off-road race outside of Las Vegas, teaming up with GFI Racing and Zach Kisman. “I will get back in my @kawasakiusa KRX1000 for the first time this weekend to knock the rust off and get back to driving,” he said.
After years of punishing his body in the ring, Austin isn’t letting surgery slow him down. Whether it’s the gym, the racetrack, or whatever challenge he takes on next, The Texas Rattlesnake is still going full throttle.
