The situation surrounding Stephanie Vaquer’s WWE Women’s World Championship took another turn during the January 19 episode of RAW, as it was confirmed on-air that she is still not medically cleared to compete.

In a backstage segment, Raquel Rodriguez addressed the ongoing feud and revealed that Vaquer remains sidelined due to her ankle injury. Despite the delay, Raquel made it clear she’s not backing down and intends to wait for her opportunity to challenge for the title once Vaquer is cleared to return.

This update comes after weeks of escalating tension between the two. Raquel has already launched multiple attacks on Vaquer during RAW, including a backstage assault that left Vaquer’s title belt damaged. The ankle injury, originally diagnosed as a sprain, required Vaquer to wear a walking boot, though she was reportedly still cleared for some contact. However, WWE has remained cautious about booking her in a full match while she recovers.

Although early reports indicated that there were no plans to strip Vaquer of the championship, this latest development makes it clear that her return to in-ring action is still uncertain. WWE appears to be moving forward with the storyline while keeping the title picture active without rushing Vaquer back into the ring.

It remains to be seen when the champion will return—but Raquel Rodriguez is clearly positioned as the next challenger whenever that moment comes.
