Stephanie McMahon Delivers Tough Love For Cody Rhodes During 3/30 WWE RAW

The March 30 episode of WWE RAW brought a big show to Madison Square Garden. Little did anyone expect that Stephanie McMahon would make the show.

Cody Rhodes kicked off the broadcast, and he asked MSG what they wanted to talk about. Then Stephanie McMahon’s music hit, and a shocked NYC fan base welcomed the Billion Dollar Princess to the ring.

Stephanie McMahon said that MSG is the house that her grandfather built. Then Cody asked Stephanie what she wanted to talk about. She wanted to talk about WrestleMania and his match against Randy Orton.

Then Stephanie McMahon said that Cody won’t like what she has to saw. McMahon brought up how she used to watch Andre The Giant in MSG, and she understands the business, just like Cody and Randy. However, Rhodes took the “golden path” and stayed true to himself, because he believes that he can bring out the best in people, but “you can’t this time with this version of Randy Orton.”

Stephanie McMahon went on to explain how dangerous this version of Randy Orton is. She said that Cody needs to think like Randy Orton, and his father, Dusty Rhodes, understood that. She said that Dusty could “get down and dirty with the best of them,” but “you are not your father.”

She went on to say that “this version of Cody Rhodes can’t beat this version of Randy Orton, you have no idea who you’re dealing with.” Cody took a second to respond as fans chanted for him. Then he said he didn’t want to be rude to Stephanie, but “I know everything about Randy Orton.”

Cody Rhodes went on to carry on his promo about how he knows what Randy Orton is capable of, and “some of that stuff was to you.” Stephanie McMahon remained stone-faced for that one.

Then Cody Rhodes said that he may not be his father, “but you’re not your’s either.” That brought a huge pop from the WWE universe in MSG at the mere mention of Vince McMahon without ever saying his name.

Stephanie McMahon went on to warn that Cody Rhodes will lose his title if he doesn’t change things up. That wasn’t enough, because then Stephanie and Cody had a tense stand-off. Rhodes said he had two words for her, “thank you.”
