Duke Hudson’s cryptic exit from WWE has sparked plenty of reactions, but one of the most unexpected came from TNA star Steph De Lander. After Hudson dropped his Wrestling with Identity video, De Lander didn’t hold back, making it clear she doesn’t want him anywhere near TNA.
Quote-tweeting Hudson’s video, De Lander wrote, “Pls for the love of god stay far away from @ThisIsTNA !!!”
It’s unclear if her comment was meant as a serious warning or just playful banter, but it definitely got people talking.
Hudson, who was quietly released by WWE back in January, has been making headlines ever since confirming the news in his self-interview video. In the clip, he had a brutally honest conversation with himself about his time in WWE, admitting his frustrations but refusing to call his run a failure.
“Alright, well let’s get straight to the point. You’ve been fired, which might be breaking news to a lot of the people here,” Hudson said to his other self. “You weren’t part of a group with a ‘budget cuts,’ right, so this really was more of a ‘we hate you.’” His other self quickly responded, “Yeah.”
Hudson reflected on how his peers, including Rhea Ripley and Bron Breakker, have surpassed him in WWE, but remained focused on what’s next. “I can be happy for my friends and be disappointed in my own shortcomings at the same time,” he said.
With his WWE chapter officially closed, Hudson hasn’t revealed his next move, but if De Lander has her way, it won’t be in TNA. Whether her reaction was personal or just playing into the drama, it’s definitely got people wondering what’s next for Hudson.
Should Duke Hudson land in TNA, or does his next chapter belong elsewhere? Let us know in the comments.
