Steph De Lander is finally speaking out about the chaos surrounding PCO’s shocking exit from TNA Wrestling and his dramatic destruction of the Digital Media Championship at The People vs. GCW event. While PCO’s outburst led to his swift removal from TNA’s roster, De Lander insists that she’s holding the real championship—and that the belt PCO smashed wasn’t even the actual title.
During a K&S WrestleFest virtual signing, De Lander played up her on-screen persona, joking that PCO’s meltdown was simply the result of losing her. “He acted out, but that’s okay. Everyone does when they lose me.”
However, when it came to the real story, she admitted she had no inside knowledge of what went down between PCO and TNA, claiming she found out the same way fans did—through social media. “In wrestling, oftentimes, exactly what you guys see on Twitter is what we see on Twitter and what we know, so I don’t have any insider scoops,” De Lander said.
She continued, “I know everyone wants the tea, but I actually don’t know what the tea is at all. But what I do know is that right now, I have the TNA Digital Media Championship, and this is 100 percent legit.”
De Lander made her return to TNA iMPACT on January 23, appearing in a segment with Sami Callihan while carrying the Digital Media Title over her shoulder. Though she’s not medically cleared to wrestle following neck surgery, TNA introduced her real-life partner Mance Warner to step in and defend the championship on her behalf.
As for PCO, his actions not only got him cut from TNA’s roster but also forced the company to pivot in a new direction with the Digital Media Championship. Whether this will be the last we hear from him in TNA remains to be seen, but for now, Steph De Lander is making it clear—she’s the champion, and she’s not mad about how things turned out.
