WWE just dropped a major update ahead of tonight’s go-home edition of SmackDown—Kevin Owens will be opening the show.

The announcement was made before SmackDown aired on the USA Network, confirming that Owens will kick off what is already shaping up to be a wild, commercial-free first hour. With just one day until the Royal Rumble, Owens is set to address his ladder match against Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, and knowing him, he’s not going to hold anything back.

This comes after WWE already announced an exclusive interview between Owens and Joe Tessitore on tonight’s show. Whether that interview will still take place later in the night or if Owens’ opening segment replaces it remains to be seen. Either way, the prizefighter is walking into SmackDown with a lot to say.
