WWE has a lot of surprises waiting for fans in 2026, but we’re not finished with this year quite yet. Although the company is pretaping RAW and SmackDown for next week, they have plenty of reasons for fans to tune in.

We have complete spoiler results for the December 26 edition of WWE SmackDown. During those tapings, something happened that caught our attention.

Fans have been saying Joe Hendry’s name for a while now, and he’s starting to appear everywhere. He had a seamless transition from TNA Wrestling to NXT, and now he is making his first impression on SmackDown.

Joe Hendry showed up during the SmackDown tapings that went down during the December 19 event. He will be a part of the December 26 show, where the former TNA World Champion will take on The Miz. This was also their yearly Miracle on 34th Street Fight.

Joe Hendry and The Miz have not wrestled on television, but they have already faced each other multiple times on WWE house shows. During the Road to Clash in Paris tour in August 2025, Hendry defeated The Miz on three straight nights in Manchester, Leeds, and Cardiff.

The Miz still has beef with Joe Hendry after their run-in during Saturday Night’s Main Event. This spilled over to SmackDown, and it set up a match between the two.

SmackDown opened with a Joe Hendry concert, where he performed a holiday remix and sang, “Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells, Miz has tiny balls.”

The match between Joe Hendry and The Miz was announced as a Miracle on 34th Street Fight. Before the bell, The Miz cut a promo bragging about his balls. Alpha Academy was at ringside, with Otis dressed as Santa Claus, Tozawa as an elf, and R-Truth in a rabbit costume. Joe Hendry went on to defeat The Miz in the Miracle on 34th Street Fight.

Joe Hendry really wanted a match against John Cena. He may not have been able to manifest that, but he did get a spot during Saturday Night’s Main Event with Ron Cena. Of course, The Miz is still a bit upset over that. Only time will tell what Hendry is able to do next.
