The stage is officially set for the second night of WWE’s massive SummerSlam 2025 weekend, and the biggest match on the card is getting the spotlight it deserves.
According to Fightful Select, John Cena’s championship defense against Cody Rhodes is locked in as the planned main event for SummerSlam Night Two on Sunday, August 3. The match will close out the two-night spectacle at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, marking a huge moment in Cody’s quest to “finish the story” and Cena’s latest chapter in his final WWE run.
Night Two’s lineup is stacked with title matches, including Becky Lynch vs. Lyra Valkyria, Naomi defending in a triple threat against IYO SKY and Rhea Ripley, Dominik Mysterio vs. AJ Styles, and a heated grudge match between Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu. But all eyes will be on Cena and Rhodes when the lights come up for the weekend’s final bout.
