Just one night before WrestlePalooza, WWE is stacking the deck for a wild SmackDown—and now a major name is expected to return.
According to WrestleVotes, Paul Heyman is backstage and scheduled to appear on the September 19 episode of SmackDown. The news comes just as Ringside News leaked the spoiler lineup, which includes a segment midway through the show labeled “The Visionary.” Given Heyman’s alignment with Seth Rollins, all signs point to Heyman popping up during this second-hour segment.
Paul Heyman has not been seen on WWE television after being choked out by Roman Reigns at WWE Clash in Paris. Tonight’s broadcast is also set to feature the Undisputed WWE Championship contract signing between Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre, Brock Lesnar’s live interview ahead of his match with John Cena, and two major title matches.
To add even more fuel to the fire, PWInsider confirmed that AJ Styles, Finn Balor, Penta, and Ludwig Kaiser are all backstage in Toledo but they’re likely there for dark matches.
WWE isn’t leaving anything on the table—and with Heyman in the mix, the verbal warfare might hit just as hard as the physical battles at WrestlePalooza.
As always, keep checking back with us here at Ringside News for constant updates, news, rumors and spoilers regarding tonight’s event.
