The January 16 episode of WWE SmackDown went down in the OVO Arena Wembley in London, England. This was a big show on Friday, and we had full spoilers of the entire broadcast. We also saw a lot of momentum to figuring out who will face Drew McIntyre for his title.

Drew McIntyre needs a new challenger for the World Heavyweight Championship, and they got that figured out tonight in London. The winners of these qualifying matches will throw down in a #1 contender fatal four-way at Saturday Night’s Main Event on January 24.

Randy Orton and The Miz faced off against each other in the first match of the night. The Miz got a head start to this match as he attacked Orton with a Skull Crushing Finale in a blind side attack. In the end, Orton won with a big RKO outta nowhere.

In the second match, Trick Williams and Matt Cardona went head-to-head. In the end, Trick Williams won, meaning that the two-time NXT Champion is moving on to the fatal four-way #1 contender’s match.

Solo Sikoa had a fantastic match at the end of the show’s second hour. In the end, after a ton of near falls, the MFT faction got involved and Solo Sikoa took an upperhand. He nailed a Samoan Slam and his splash for another near fall and the match continued. Suddenly, the lights went out and the Wyatt Sicks made their presence known. The faction is still upset about Solo Sikoa’s big theft angle last week. The Wyatts attacked the MFT faction, and then Solo stopped Uncle Howdy from getting the lantern. When he returned, Priest hit him with a South of Heaven to win and advance.

Sami Zayn and Ilja Dragunov had the final qualifying match of the night. These two had a hard-hitting match in the main event of the night. There were a ton of near falls, and fans were split between the two Superstars. In the end, Sami Zayn nailed a great Helluva Kick and won the match to advance.

So, it will be Randy Orton vs Trick Williams vs Damian Priest vs Sami Zayn at Saturday Night’s Main Event on January 24. Only time will tell who wins to get a shot at Drew McIntyre’s title.
