Trish Stratus is back in the WWE mix, and it sounds like her next storyline could involve one of SmackDown’s fastest-rising stars—Tiffany Stratton. But whether they’re working together or facing off remains to be seen.

According to Fightful Select, WWE creative has pitched a potential program involving Stratus and Stratton, tied to the upcoming Evolution 2 premium live event.

Stratus is confirmed to be in Pittsburgh for tonight’s RAW and SmackDown double taping, though it hasn’t been confirmed if she’ll appear on RAW, SmackDown, or both shows.

“We’re told WWE creative had pitched a potential program with she and Tiffany Stratton, but the claim internally was that things weren’t finalized as of this weekend,” Fightful reported.

While some fans immediately jumped to the idea of a singles match between the two, it should be noted both women are currently babyfaces, making it just as likely they could be paired up in a tag team or multi-woman match for Evolution 2 rather than going head-to-head.

Tiffany Stratton’s stock has been steadily rising, and despite recent controversy, WWE has kept her in a prominent spot on SmackDown. With Evolution 2 set to feature stars from all brands, there’s plenty of room for Stratton to share the spotlight with a Hall of Famer like Stratus.

Trish Stratus hasn’t been seen on WWE programming since her feud with Becky Lynch wrapped at Payback last year, but it looks like her return is being lined up to play a major part in Evolution 2’s build.

Here’s everything confirmed for tonight’s June 30, 2025 episode of RAW:

  • Trish Stratus is expected to appear to kick off her Evolution 2 storyline
  • Nick Aldis and Adam Pearce will make an announcement about Evolution 2
  • Rhea Ripley opens the show following her Night of Champions win
  • WWE World Tag Team Championships: The New Day (c) vs. The Judgment Day
  • Sheamus vs. Rusev
  • Sami Zayn & Penta vs. Bron Breakker & Bronson Reed (with Paul Heyman)
  • GUNTHER delivers a message to Bill Goldberg
