Penta is wasting no time making an impact in WWE, and his next challenge is now confirmed.
According to PWInsider, Penta will step into the ring with Pete Dunne on the January 20 episode of Raw in what’s shaping up to be an all-out fight.
After making his WWE debut last week, Penta is already being put against some of the company’s toughest competitors. Facing Dunne—known for his brutal striking and joint manipulation—means this match could be a hard-hitting clash of styles that fans won’t want to miss.
Penta’s WWE signing was finalized weeks ago, shortly before his AEW contract expired on December 1. While WWE originally planned for him to team with Rey Mysterio against The New Day, those plans shifted, leading to his one-on-one debut against Chad Gable instead. Now, WWE is giving him another tough test in Dunne, ensuring he gets a chance to prove himself in a competitive matchup.
Despite initial reports that Penta was supposed to debut on Raw’s Netflix premiere on January 6, his first appearance was delayed, fueling anticipation. Now, with his second match already booked, WWE is making it clear they see big things ahead for him.
As a reminder, Ringside News will be providing live play-by-play coverage of this week’s show over in our WWE Monday Night RAW coverage hub.
