WWE SmackDown is live tonight from the Kia Center in Orlando, Florida, and Cody Rhodes is kicking things off.

The Undisputed WWE Champion took to X just 15 minutues before the show to confirm he’ll be opening SmackDown. “Orlando, FL 📍 Top of the hour 👀 #SmackDown” Rhodes posted, making it clear that whatever happens tonight, it starts with him.

This adds even more fuel to the fire as WWE builds toward Crown Jewel: Perth, where Rhodes will collide with World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins on October 11 to determine who becomes the 2025 Men’s Crown Jewel Champion.

Tonight’s SmackDown also features another major title bout. Sami Zayn is once again issuing an open challenge for the United States Championship, his fourth consecutive defense since beating Solo Sikoa in August. During this reign, Zayn has already gone through John Cena, Rey Fenix, and Carmelo Hayes—and he’s not slowing down.

Over on the women’s side, the WWE Women’s Championship is on the line in a triple threat match. Tiffany Stratton defends her title against Jade Cargill and Nia Jax. Whoever survives that clash will go on to face Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer at Crown Jewel in Perth.

Plus, Michin and B-Fab team up to battle Giulia and Kiana James in tag action—a match that could shake up the women’s division with Crown Jewel implications. Here’s a look at what’s going down in Orlando:

  • Cody Rhodes opens the show
  • Triple Threat Match: Tiffany Stratton (c) vs. Jade Cargill vs. Nia Jax – WWE Women’s Championship
  • Sami Zayn U.S. Title Open Challenge – United States Championship Match
  • Michin & B-Fab vs. Giulia & Kiana James

SmackDown is stacked, but Rhodes starting the show could mean something big is in play—especially with his championship showdown against Rollins looming.
