Spoiler: Opening Segment Revealed for August 29 WWE SmackDown

WWE is kicking off tonight’s August 29, 2025, episode of SmackDown in a massive way as John Cena will be opening the show in France.

The 17-time World Champion has already arrived at the LDLC Arena in Lyon, France and he will be addressing Logan Paul, who sucker punched him during last week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown.

That’s not all as Solo Sikoa will be defending his United States Championship against Sami Zayn on the show. In addition to that, Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins will be facing The Miz & Carmelo Hayes in order to determine the #1 Contenders for the WWE Tag Team Titles.

Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss will also be defending the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles against Chelsea Green and Alba Fyre, after it was announced that Piper Niven will not be able to compete. Finally, Michin will go one-on-one with Kiana James.
