Tonight’s Monday Night Raw is starting off with a bang as Jey Uso has been confirmed to open the show, according to PWInsider.

With the Royal Rumble just weeks away, Jey’s role on Raw has been heating up, and now he’s been given the spotlight to kick things off. While it’s unclear what he’ll address, his upcoming World Heavyweight Championship match against GUNTHER at Saturday Night’s Main Event on January 25 could be a major talking point.

Jey’s rise on Raw has been a big story ever since moving to the red brand last year, and his road to challenging GUNTHER could take an interesting turn depending on what happens tonight.

Here’s what’s confirmed for Raw on January 20:

  • Jey Uso kicks off the show
  • Seth Rollins vs. Drew McIntyre
  • Damage CTRL (Dakota Kai & IYO SKY) vs. Pure Fusion Collective (Shayna Baszler, Zoey Stark, or Sonya Deville)
  • The New Day (Xavier Woods & Kofi Kingston) in tag team action
  • Lyra Valkyria to appear
  • JBL to appear
  • Sami Zayn to appear
  • Nia Jax to appear
  • Cody Rhodes vs. Carmelo Hayes (Dark Match)

With Jey Uso kicking things off, the show is already setting the stage for big moments. As a reminder,  Ringside News will be providing live play-by-play coverage of this week’s show over in our WWE Monday Night RAW coverage hub.
