The road to WWE Elimination Chamber is making a final stop in Toronto tonight, and now, fans know exactly how Friday Night SmackDown will kick off.
According to PWInsider, WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus and Tiffany Stratton are set to open the show with a promo segment. This comes just one night before they team up to take on Nia Jax and Candice LeRae at Elimination Chamber.
Stratus, who recently returned to in-ring action in the Women’s Royal Rumble match, will be addressing the WWE Universe alongside Stratton, who has been making waves in the women’s division. While it remains to be seen what they’ll have to say, tensions are already running high, and this segment could set the stage for their showdown at the PLE.
Aside from the confirmed opening segment, SmackDown will also feature Shinsuke Nakamura defending the WWE United States Championship against LA Knight and Chelsea Green facing a mystery opponent in her home country of Canada. With Elimination Chamber just around the corner, expect more major announcements and surprises throughout the night.
