TNA Wrestling and WWE’s ongoing partnership has opened the gates for several dream matches and talent exchanges that fans never thought were possible. In fact, there was quite a lot of NXT involvement during the TNA iMPACT taping held in Irvine, CA, on May 2nd.

During the tapings, Frankie Kazarian came out and said he was happy to be back in Southern California. He reminded everyone that Joe Hendry has never beaten him and made it clear he doesn’t like Joe or his fans.

Kazarian then brought out Trick Williams. As soon as Trick mentioned Joe Hendry’s name, Joe Hendry came out with Elijah. Santino Marella appeared and announced that their tag team match would happen right then instead of at the upcoming pay-per-view. However, Robert Stone interrupted and overruled Santino’s decision.

Later on in the tapings, Tessa Blanchard and Victoria Crawford faced TNA Women’s Champion Masha Slamovich and Nikkita Lyons. This match actually marked Nikkita Lyons’ debut in TNA Wrestling. The match ended in DQ after Masha hit Tessa with a chair and even though Santino Marella tried to restart the match, Robert Stone stepped in and shut it down.
