Max Caster has fully embraced his solo era since splitting from Anthony Bowens, and he’s kept himself relevant with a string of open challenges. But according to Fightful Select, his AEW Dynasty match likely won’t end any differently than the last seven.

“Max Caster’s opponent for his open challenge at the AEW Dynasty pay-per-view hasn’t been revealed yet,” the report stated, before adding that it’s “expected that the mystery opponent will win the match.”

That would mark Caster’s eighth straight loss since launching the open challenge gimmick back on the January 29th episode of AEW Collision. Most of those matches have been quick defeats, often not even lasting a full minute. Still, Caster isn’t backing down.

In his usual over-the-top confidence, Caster declared he would hold “another open challenge” during the Zero Hour pre-show at AEW Dynasty, insisting he’s still “the best wrestler alive right now.”

While Caster’s losing streak has turned into a story of its own, the build has added something weirdly compelling to his new persona. Fans have come to expect surprise appearances and fast results—and that’s exactly what makes this Zero Hour segment worth watching.

With AEW Dynasty going down in Philly, all eyes are on who shows up to shut Caster down again—and whether he finally hits rock bottom or pulls off a shock win.
