There are a ton of plans for WWE in 2026, and those Superstars will go to Europe very early on into the year. SmackDown is about to make history in Berlin, and they have a huge match to go with it now.

The December 19 edition of WWE SmackDown went down at the Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This was a special night, because they also taped SmackDown for December 26, and we have full spoilers. During that show, we got a big match announced for the January 9 SmackDown.

WWE is headed to Berlin in early 2026 as part of its Road to Royal Rumble tour. WWE SmackDown will take place on Friday, January 9, 2026, at the Uber Arena. While this is not a premium live event, it is a televised SmackDown and part of a larger European run that also includes a RAW in Düsseldorf a few days later.

The Berlin show picked up during the taping for the December 26 episode of SmackDown. During the show, Drew McIntyre confronted a referee in the ring and went off on the mic, directing his frustration toward both the officiating and Cody Rhodes. The segment quickly escalated as McIntyre shifted his focus fully to Rhodes.

WWE then made it official, and fans have a huge match ahead of them. Drew McIntyre will face Cody Rhodes in a Three Stages of Hell Match at WWE Bash in Berlin. McIntyre closed the segment by addressing Rhodes directly and delivering a line that immediately got attention. “When I bury you deep in hell, say hi to your dad for me,” he said before laying Cody Rhodes out to end the show.

We will keep a close eye in this situation, because anything can happen in WWE. Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre will certainly be able to tear each other apart and make a big impression in Germany.
