WWE has been hyping up tonight’s episode of Raw, and it looks like one storyline is about to lead straight to a future championship match. According to PWInsider, tonight’s show is “scheduled to set up a Women’s Tag Team Championship match, likely for next week’s Raw.”
The show already has a stacked lineup, featuring Seth Rollins vs. Finn Balor in an Elimination Chamber qualifying match, AJ Styles taking on Dominik Mysterio, Penta battling Pete Dunne, and Raquel Rodriguez facing Roxanne Perez in another Elimination Chamber qualifier. Sami Zayn is also scheduled to appear, along with a WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship Number One Contender’s match between Ivy Nile and Dakota Kai.
Meanwhile, Bianca Belair and Naomi—who currently hold the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles—are making their way to Raw to confront Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez. This comes after SmackDown GM Nick Aldis dropped a bombshell last week, revealing that Liv and Raquel were seen on security footage near the ambulance that transported Jade Cargill after her brutal backstage attack.
Cargill hasn’t been seen on WWE TV since she was taken out on November 22, but her name continues to loom large over this storyline. With tensions boiling over and the tag champs looking for answers, it’s only a matter of time before things get physical—and WWE pulls the trigger on the next title match.
Ringside News will be providing live play-by-play coverage of this week’s show over in our WWE Monday Night RAW coverage hub. It promises to be a memorable episode for many reasons, so it remains to be seen how the episode will turn out.
