AEW Double or Nothing will be taking place on Sunday, May 25, at Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona and there’s a lot of excitement for the event. In fact, it appears that some major matches were confirmed for the event during the latest AEW Collision taping.
During the latest set of tapings for the May 17th edition of Collision, which was held at the NOW Arena in Chicago, Illinois on May 15th, ROH Tag Team Champions Dustin Rhodes and Sammy Guevara defeated the CRU and earned a shot at Shelton Benjamin and Bobby Lashley’s AEW World Tag Team Titles.
In addition to that, the Anarchy in the Arena was also confirmed. It will feature some combination of AEW Champion Jon Moxley, Gabe Kidd, The Young Bucks, Marina Shafir, and The Death Riders going up against Samoa Joe, Swerve Strickland, Powerhouse Hobbs, Willow Nightingale, Kenny Omega, and The Opps.
This comes after Gabe Kidd made his presence felt during the main event of the May 14th edition of AEW Dynamite, making it clear the Anarchy in the Arena match was going to happen.
With major matches like the loaded Anarchy in the Arena confirmed, the Double or Nothing pay-per-view was shaping up to be one of the most action-packed events in AEW history and so we’ll have to wait and see whether it will surpass last year’s event.
