WWE has finalized the main event for WrestlePalooza 2025, and it’s exactly the kind of battle fans expected.

According to WrestleVotes, the Undisputed WWE Championship match between Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre is officially set to close the show on September 20, making it the final chapter of WWE’s first Premium Live Event on ESPN’s new streaming platform.

This update comes after Pat McAfee revealed earlier this week that WrestlePalooza will open with John Cena vs Brock Lesnar. That match will mark the very first bout of the ESPN-WWE era, giving fans an explosive start to a loaded event. The decision to book Cena and Lesnar as the opener creates the perfect kickoff, while Cody and Drew will have the responsibility of ending the night on a high note.

WrestlePalooza confirmed matches:

  • Cody Rhodes vs Drew McIntyre – Undisputed WWE Championship (Main Event)
  • John Cena vs Brock Lesnar (Opening Match)
  • CM Punk & AJ Lee vs Seth Rollins & Becky Lynch – Mixed Tag Team Match
  • Stephanie Vaquer vs IYO SKY – Vacant Women’s World Championship
  • Bronson Reed & Bron Breakker vs The Usos – Tag Team Match

With this card locked in, WWE is positioning WrestlePalooza to be one of the most important nights of the year. The match order alone shows how much firepower the company is bringing to its new streaming era.
