Big Boom AJ’s mystery partner for AEW Full Gear 2025 may not be a mystery much longer—because the spoiler is already out.

According to Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer reported that the man set to tag with AJ against Trent Beretta and Rocky Romero is expected to be QT Marshall.

The choice of Marshall isn’t random either. One year ago, Big Boom AJ made his AEW in-ring debut at Full Gear 2024 by defeating QT Marshall in front of the very same New Jersey crowd. A tag team pairing in 2025 makes this a full-circle moment—one that fans may not have seen coming until the spoiler dropped.

Originally, AJ hoped to team with his son, Big Justice, in what would have been a viral father-son moment. But AEW officials shut it down due to Justice’s young age, forcing AJ to choose from the active roster instead.

This will mark Big Boom AJ’s fourth AEW match following his appearances at Full Gear 2024, Revolution 2025, and All In: Texas 2025. Despite his limited experience, AJ’s popularity with younger fans and social media audiences continues to make him a draw.

Do you think QT Marshall is the right partner for Big Boom AJ? Would you have preferred someone else—or his son? Drop your thoughts in the comments.
