AAA talent Mr. Iguana is in the New York/New Jersey area this weekend as WWE gears up for a massive stretch of shows, including Friday Night SmackDown, the two-night SummerSlam event, and Monday Night Raw.

According to Fightful Select, Iguana is expected to be around for the WWE events over the next several days, though it’s not yet confirmed whether he will be actively backstage or appearing on-screen.

A promoter familiar with the situation noted that Iguana was pulled from his scheduled independent bookings this weekend after WWE called him and Psycho Clown in for events. Iguana, who is signed to a joint WWE/AAA deal, has been gaining more international exposure in recent months through this working relationship between the two promotions.

With SummerSlam bringing together top stars from WWE and AAA, fans will be watching closely to see if Mr. Iguana makes an appearance in any capacity during the weekend’s packed lineup.
